Roles and Duties
- Carefully pick customer orders with accuracy and safety in mind. Assemble and wrap pallets according to the set weekly productivity and precision requirements
- Before beginning your shift, ensure to inspect the equipment and handle an electric pallet jack with care
- Delicately transfer items from shelves to pallets as per the guidance of order selection software and machinery
- Verify the accuracy of the selected product and ensure it is in perfect condition
- Efficiently transport products to designated dock locations and apply shrink wrap to palletized packages
- Work together to clear pathways of obstacles, relocate empty pallets from shelves to the aisles, and return pallet jacks to their charging stations
Physical Requirements
- Applicants must be at ease working in a variety of temperatures, from sub-zero to extreme heat
- The requirement to lift, move, push, and pull merchandise weighing between 20 and 80 pounds repetitively, along with the responsibility of moving over 1,000 cases of products within a single shift
Qualifications:
- The ability to read and communicate effectively in English is essential for attending training sessions, engaging in conversations, receiving guidance on safety measures and job duties, understanding labels, and inputting data on reports as required
- Skilled in undertaking night shifts exceeding 8 hours, primarily scheduled from Sunday to Thursday, with the possibility of additional shifts on weekends and holidays
- Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
- Candidates with a background in choosing substantial orders in warehouse or distribution center contexts are desired
- Preference is given to candidates with prior experience operating a motorized pallet jack or equivalent equipment
