Retail Grocery Specialist

Whole Foods Market is inviting applications for the position of a Part-Time Grocery Stocker. The selected Grocery Team Member will be responsible for maintaining well-stocked shelves, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting with inventory and checkout procedures. Role and Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility as a Grocery Stocker is to ensure high-quality service and support the daily operations of the grocery department. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all shoppers.
• Manage the intake and storage of dry goods, beverages, household essentials, and bulk supplies.
• Follow guidelines for proper product handling, including adherence to time and temperature requirements.
• Rotate back stock using a first-in, first-out system to maintain product freshness.
• Collaborate with the Grocery Department Head to maintain accurate product signage.
• Follow inventory management practices established by the organization.
• Assist the front-end team by efficiently scanning groceries, processing transactions, and carefully packing items.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, grip, and carry objects weighing 50 75 pounds frequently.
• Capacity to bend, crouch, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in cold environments, including walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
• Use all senses (sight, hearing, smell) to interpret labels, evaluate product quality, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or grocery stocking is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a part-time position with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour. Weekly hours are up to 24, with one required weekend shift. Typical shifts include Monday 12:00 8:30 PM, Friday 12:00 8:30 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM 2:00 PM.
