Whole Foods Market has a full-time opportunity for a Store Support Supervisor (Customer Service, Front End Support). This role involves assisting the Store Support Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s) in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining excellent customer service while upholding the company's core values.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Store Support Supervisor, you will manage the Store Support Team Members, help with scheduling, and ensure smooth departmental operations. You will also support training programs, address issues efficiently, and promote operational effectiveness throughout the store.
- Supervise and assign responsibilities to Store Support Team Members.
- Work with the Team Trainer to guide and mentor new Team Members using training checklists and resources.
- Ensure shelves and cases are organized, stocked, and products rotated properly.
- Handle customer concerns courteously and effectively.
- Monitor equipment, staff attendance, and team issues; report to management as needed.
- Maintain high retail performance standards while modeling Whole Foods Market's values.
- Promote teamwork, respect, and a positive work environment.
- Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and support team member growth.
- Be attentive to customer needs and guide staff to deliver excellent service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Store Support team procedures and operational guidelines.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with sound decision-making abilities.
- Solid product knowledge and awareness of new product introductions.
- Experience in regulatory and safety compliance, following legal and safety protocols.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, email platforms, and operational software.
- Good mathematical skills for financial performance and inventory management.
- Minimum of 12 months of retail experience.
Workload Expectations and Environmental Factors:
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for 6 8 hours per shift.
- Bend, twist, squat, and reach as required.
- Work in wet, cold, and hot conditions.
- Use FDA-approved cleaning solutions as needed.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate tools and equipment such as utility knives, pallet movers, and industrial machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.10, depending on experience.
