Role and Responsibilities:
Your role as a Bread Baker includes managing the daily bread and bakery production processes to ensure uniformity, excellence, and productivity. Collaboration with colleagues is crucial for sustaining efficient operations and following safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Employ weighing scales for precise ingredient measurements and adhere to the correct order when mixing dough.
- Carry out the processes of segmenting, shaping, proofing, and baking various types of bread and bakery treats following designated recipes and timelines.
- Grasp and conform to all prescribed cooking methods, instructions, and production sequences.
- Make sure that work areas, mixers, utensils, and machinery are neat and well-maintained.
- Integrate PLUs, UPC codes, and Globalbake software into the recipe printing process effectively.
- Properly sanitize and manage bakery equipment like mixers, chillers, and dispensers to meet safety standards.
- Consistently following FSMA, HACCP, health regulations, sanitation requirements, and organic guidelines is crucial for maintaining quality control.
- Successfully complete required trainings, attend meetings, and follow PPE and scheduling guidelines consistently.
Crucial Abilities and Prior Knowledge:
- The hazards associated with smoking encompass diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and respiratory ailments.
- Familiarity with manual craftsmanship in production and the procedures for baking bread.
- Deep insight into baking components, implements, and measurements.
- Exceptional math aptitude and proficiency in making rapid computations.
- Adequate understanding of computer fundamentals and software, which may involve knowledge of Globalbake.
- Effective communication paired with strong organizational skills.
- Skill in evaluating and discriminating the quality of items by sampling them.
- Skilled at completing tasks independently or as part of a team with minimal need for direction.
- Capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for 8 hours, and carrying out tasks such as bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
- Proficient in adapting to work conditions with a temperature range of -10°F to 100°F.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules that may involve nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical familiarity with Hobart mixers, compactors, knives, and bakery production machinery.
- Harnessing innate motivation to navigate obstacles adeptly and approach problem-solving tasks with initiative.
Compensation and Benefits:
