Responsibilities of Produce Supply Clerk:
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in the produce department, floral area, storage facility, and workspace by performing tasks such as cleaning shelves and items, preventing liquid spills on the floor, and removing hazardous debris to enhance the overall safety of the environment.
- Stocks department employees oversee the floral area, undertaking responsibilities such as organizing and rotating merchandise, displaying products in an appealing manner, replenishing stock levels when necessary, adhering to the Produce Department's set layout for product placement, and ensuring the accuracy of tags and pricing.
- Helps customers effectively by responding to inquiries, assisting with purchases, providing information, and guiding product selection; involves sales techniques and cross-selling strategies.
- Verifies the correctness of orders by assessing the contents, amount, and state of the merchandise.
- Watches over the point of purchase displays, ensuring a selection of recipe cards, discount coupons, promotional materials, and information on complementary food items.
- Involves working with instruments such as blades, measuring tools, wrapping devices, compacting machinery, waste disposal units, pallet moving equipment, and manual transport carts.
- Being part of pre-inventory preparation includes responsibilities like sorting out back stock and validating tag alignment with the products.
