Role and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities include handling the intake and storage processes, optimizing product logistics, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

• Handle tasks concerning the intake and storage of goods, which may include unloading deliveries, confirming with RF scanners, organizing items in designated locations, overseeing cross-docking procedures, and picking flow-through inventory.
• Make it a point to reach the workstation on time, with suitable attire, grooming, and readiness for all scheduled shifts.
• Observe OSHA and Whole Foods protocols when using a powered pallet jack or forklift.
• Foster a work atmosphere that prioritizes cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Observe and abide by all safety rules required by OSHA and the facility.
• Inform the Team Leader or Facility Leadership immediately of any accidents or injuries that occur.
• Handle unloading of truck deliveries, validate against bill of lading, input into the warehouse management platform, and set up for storage placement.
• Carry out assessments on inbound products to validate their compliance with food safety regulations.
• Accurately assign a label to the item for organizing after verification.
• Perform storage tasks when needed and look after all machinery associated with the role.
• Maintain accuracy in receiving, arranging, and selecting products that are in continuous flow.
• Accurately stage all cross-dock items upon arrival.
• Ensure that product delivery areas, recycling stations, and trash bins are clear and accessible.
• Load reusable materials and other products onto trucks for shipping.
• Thoroughly accomplish all inbound paperwork with precision.
• Be present for all team and facility meetings to stay in the loop.

• Being capable of performing the physical tasks required for the position.
• Strong communication aptitude and skilled in cooperative team participation.
• Competency in the secure and efficient operation of all required equipment.
• Ensuring that customer service expectations are met with vendors, customers, and team members.
• Competency in handling assignments with thoroughness, accuracy, and adherence to timelines.
• Understanding the quality benchmarks and having comprehensive product awareness in the context of WFM.
• Took ownership and exhibited responsibility in task fulfillment.
• Paying close attention to detail and maintaining accuracy in paperwork completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience spanning a year within the realm of receiving operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Experience is taken into account with an hourly wage that spans from $22.00 to $39.60.
