Role and Responsibilities:
The Deli Attendant plays a key role in creating customer loyalty by providing exceptional service within the deli department. Key responsibilities include:
- Customer Service: Welcome and assist customers warmly, provide courteous interactions, and address their needs consistently.
- Product Knowledge: Offer recommendations and showcase expertise in deli products.
- Stocking & Rotation: Maintain product freshness and accurate date control by stocking and rotating items efficiently while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Equipment Operation: Safely handle deli tools and equipment following company guidelines.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe; promptly report hazards or equipment issues to management.
- Reporting Issues: Report any theft, shoplifting, unauthorized discounts, property damage, or policy violations to management.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain it.
- Successful completion of background check and pre-employment drug screening.
