As a Distribution Center Receiver, you will be instrumental in upholding accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the receiving operations that are essential for the effective movement of products across the supply chain.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Execute tasks related to receiving and storing items such as offloading, RF confirmation, arranging merchandise in designated areas, managing cross-docking operations, and picking flow-through goods.
• Arrive at the workstation on schedule, in proper attire, and fully prepared to undertake all scheduled shifts.
• Abide by OSHA and Whole Foods rules when operating a powered pallet jack or forklift.
• Ensure that the work environment remains safe, clean, and organized consistently.
• Maintain adherence to all safety regulations mandated by OSHA and the facility.
• Report any accidents or injuries promptly to the Team Leader or Facility Leadership.
• Process incoming truck shipments, confirm against bill of lading, log information in the warehouse management system, and arrange for positioning in the warehouse.
• Assess incoming inventory to ensure alignment with food safety standards.
• Precisely tag the item for storage following the verification process.
• Carry out putaway tasks as necessary and oversee the care of all machinery connected to the role.
• Execute the accurate reception, staging, and selection of goods passing through smoothly.
• Correctly position and organize cross-dock inventory during check-in.
• Keep designated areas for receiving items, recyclables, and trash free from any hindrances.
• Place environmentally-friendly materials and goods onto trucks for transportation.
• Accurately fulfill all inbound documentation requirements.
• Participate in all scheduled team and facility meetings.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Proficient in communication and capable of being a valuable team player.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate all critical tools.
• Commitment to fulfilling customer service expectations with vendors, customers, and team members.
• Competence in performing duties thoroughly, precisely, and in a timely manner.
• Understanding of quality objectives and product knowledge within WFM.
• Demonstrated reliability and accountability in task completion.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of experience in receiving operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly earnings range from $22.00 to $39.60, depending on experience.
• Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, store discounts, paid time off, and participation in additional benefit programs.
• Eligibility for Total Benefits is based on the plan in effect at the start of employment.
