Utilities Clerk

Job Summary

Do you enjoy helping others and keeping things clean and organized? Join our Fiesta Mart team as a Utilities Clerk at our Rosenberg location. This is a vital support role in the store, helping maintain a clean, safe, and friendly shopping environment. From bagging groceries and retrieving carts to assisting in the Produce Department and store upkeep, you'll be making a difference for every customer, every day.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by bagging groceries and offering carry-out assistance when needed
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment, especially in high-traffic and produce areas
• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to designated areas
• Perform routine store clean-up tasks including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
• Run price checks and assist with returning misplaced merchandise (go-backs)
• Maintain cleanliness at the front end, including registers and customer waiting areas
• Monitor and report safety concerns or maintenance issues to management
• Support team members and store departments as directed

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions in English and/or Spanish
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Comfortable with physical work: standing, lifting (up to 60 lbs), bending, and walking for extended periods
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred but Not Required:
• Basic computer or Outlook email skills
• Previous experience in grocery, janitorial, or retail settings
• Retail Management Certificate

Salary

Starting Pay: $12.00 per hour
Pay may increase based on performance and length of service
