• Assist with product-related questions and provide helpful recommendations.
• Follow company rules regarding restricted products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organized checkout area.
• Reconcile the cash register and comply with cash-handling procedures to prevent loss.
• Promote Kroger services, programs, and promotions such as rewards and surveys.
• Follow procedures for reporting pricing inconsistencies, safety issues, or theft.
• Encourage teamwork and support fellow associates to maintain a positive atmosphere.

Required Skills and Background:

• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stress while maintaining professionalism.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in cashiering, courtesy clerk duties, or customer service roles.
• Ability to speak more than one language.
