Job Summary of Deli Crew Member:

In the position of a Deli Crew Member, you will be expected to carry out responsibilities related to the deli service counter and prepared foods department to ensure the department's presentation, quality, selection, and adherence to food safety guidelines are consistently met. Your main objective will be to establish and maintain positive customer interactions and provide enthusiastic support in line with the company's overarching strategy.

Responsibilities of Deli Crew Member:

• Provide a warm welcome and support customers in discovering and selecting products.
• Provide exceptional and personable customer care while utilizing skills and expertise to suggest solutions that meet or surpass customer expectations.
• Cut, slice, assemble, measure, and wrap merchandise in accordance with established benchmarks and quality aims.
• Simultaneously managing multiple orders while upholding customer service excellence and quality standards.
• Supplying assistance and support at a customer service counter
• Follow the highest quality benchmarks for products to reinforce our department's strategy.
• Reach the productivity targets established in the Management Planning framework.
• Deepen expertise regarding various product types found within the department.
• Fulfill all assigned tidying responsibilities as per the policies of the company.
• Assist in coaching new associates and carrying out miscellaneous responsibilities

Qualifications of Deli Crew Member:

• Deli, restaurant or food service experience helpful but not required.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Pre-requisite to this job would be Deli Service Case Associate training.

Physical Requirements of Deli Crew Member:

• Handle objects weighing up to 15 lbs. on a frequent basis and occasionally lift items up to 40 lbs.
• Reach to shoulder lifting 20 lbs. frequently and overhead occasionally.
• Regularly exerting force to push and pull objects weighing from 3 to 15 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
• Repeat hand and arm motions that involve grasping tasks while being upright and mobile throughout the workday.
• Meet the volume activity requirements outlined for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting produce items at or above waist level.
• Engage with controls by hand, perceive objects tactually, and employ instruments for unboxing items or for the preparation and maintenance of fresh produce.
• Be competent in handling various substances often found in cleaning agents, packaging supplies, and food merchandise.
• Show resilience in coping with varying temperatures during work tasks for intervals of up to 20 minutes
