Grocery Associate

Company Overview:

Whole Foods Market is in search of a Part-Time Grocery Stocker to join the team. The selected Grocery Team Member plays a key role in supporting store operations by keeping shelves well-stocked, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting with inventory and cashier duties. This role provides an opportunity to actively contribute to the mission of supplying the community with high-quality, organic, and natural products.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Grocery Stocker, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with the daily functions of the grocery department. Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver exceptional customer care to every individual making a purchase.
• Acquire and inventory a variety of dry products, beverages, household goods, and bulk merchandise.
• Follow recommended procedures for managing products, including specific time and temperature requirements.
• Ensure product freshness by rotating back stock on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Collaborate with the Grocery Department Head to ensure product displays have correct signage.
• Adhere to inventory management strategies and protocols established by the organization.
• Assist in front-end operations by scanning purchased items, completing transactions, and packing goods efficiently.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, hold, and transport items weighing 50 to 75 pounds.
• Capability to bend, crouch, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Experience working effectively in cold environments such as refrigerated rooms, iceboxes, and storage areas.
• Use of all senses, including sight, hearing, and smell, to interpret labels, assess product quality, and communicate efficiently with customers and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail or grocery stocking is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a part-time position offering a starting wage of $15.00 per hour. Weekly hours are capped at 24, including at least one mandatory weekend shift. Typical shift times include Monday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
