Responsibilities of Grocery Assistant:

• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of grocery shelves, storage spaces, and the work environment for safety purposes, which involves cleaning shelves and items, ensuring floors are free of liquid spills or water, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping.
• Includes responsibilities such as stocking shelves in alignment with the Grocery Department's guidelines, verifying tag and price accuracy, and organizing and facing products to meet the store's standards.
• Checks the rotation schedule for all grocery items, particularly focusing on recognizing expired products and discarding items that are spoiled or past their expiration date.
• Offers helpful responses to customer inquiries and guides them in making purchases, offering insights and suggestions on products; includes the process of cross-selling and recommending supplementary items.
• Products undergo scrutiny upon delivery to ensure their compliance with the shipment details, temperature specifications, and quality standards.
• Supervises the display of purchase point materials; ensures a variety of recipe booklets, product vouchers, promotional content, and information on accompanying food products.
• The job mandates the operation of tools like knives, scales, wrapping devices, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Implements knowledge of scales and weight measures to ensure precise product weighing and labeling.
• Constructs and positions cases for creating retail displays and tags and prices inventory.
• Partakes in pre-inventory organization, which includes managing back stock and ensuring tags match the products.
• Sustains a heightened awareness of product intricacies and product formation.
• Periodically strolling through the area to ensure it remains neat and presentable.
• Additional assignments may be handed out as needed.

Qualification of Grocery Assistant:
