Job Summary of Associate Store Manager:
The Assistant Store Manager ensures and creates an excellent shopping experience for customers with a focus on servicing the customer, driving sales growth and profitability.They establish an engaging environment for all team members.The Associate Store Manager leads the retail store and ensures the store achieves and maintains the operational standards set forth by the company and the store manager.The Associate Store Manager also trains, motivates, mentors, coaches, and develops store team members to ensure delivery of best-in-class store operations. The Associate Store Manager ensures all store team members comply with all company policies and procedures, and city, state and federal requirements.
Responsibilities of Associate Store Manager:
- Deliver leadership and mentorship to store team members concerning their job obligations, duties, role specifications, and performance criteria
- Foster a supportive and constructive retail setting that ensures the safety and positivity of team members and clientele alike
- Supports the store manager in formulating the schedule for team members on a weekly basis
- Assumes responsibility for store operations when the store manager is not present, including opening and closing duties
- Manages and/or schedules building maintenance tasks
- Shows authentic concern for the improvement, evolution, and accomplishments of team members by providing extensive training, coaching, mentoring, and development support, and assists the Store Manager in implementing progressive disciplinary actions as necessary
- Maintain clear and regular communication with various stakeholders, such as store employees, store supervisors, and district managers
- Maintains store operations in alignment with the company's standards to optimize sales, profits, and offer top-notch shopping experiences
- Provides leadership aimed at maintaining excellent store conditions daily, wherein all essential daily tasks within the produce, meat, and center store departments align completely with the company's operational norms and initiatives. Ensures the consistent execution of Food Safety practices, compliance with safety regulations ?encompassing the safe operation of power equipment, and the attainment of superior sanitation standards each day
- Accountable for monitoring significant indicators in store management like sales performance, foot traffic, employee productivity, and inventory shrinkage
- Examines, grasps, and leverages operational and financial data to drive effective business strategies in managing the store independently or in conjunction with the store manager
- Responsible for implementing the merchandising program, including plan-o-grams, product displays, pricing signage, shelf markers, and loyalty schemes
- Maintains a superior level of service for clientele, offering a clean, inviting, and well-stocked store for their shopping needs
- Supervises inventory quantities based on the store's particular metrics to guarantee high standards of quality, freshness, and proper rotation procedures that adhere to the company's guidelines
- Accountable for overseeing perishable goods inventory and operations, including stock availability, product freshness compliance, and reducing shrinkage risks
- Tasked with interpreting sales data and trends to uphold proper inventory replenishment and ordering processes
- Tasked with ensuring the enactment and observance of various policies and protocols, such as accounting procedures, cash management, inventory controls, prevention of losses, overseeing payroll operations, maintaining cleanliness, upholding food safety standards, recording documentation, addressing policy infractions, and handling administrative duties.
- Attains food safety credentials as per the standards set by the company and the city or state
- Consistently provides support for the store manager's tasks
- Executes any extra responsibilities given
Qualification of Associate Store Manager:
- A person needs to be 18 years of age or above to be eligible
- The completion of high school or a comparable credential is required
- Foundational exposure to electronic technology and communications is crucial for navigating modern advancements
- A minimum of two years of hands-on managerial experience is necessary
- Preferred qualifications include a history of leadership in supervisory roles, as well as prior involvement in arranging timetables, promoting products, and managing financial budgets and expenditures
- Candidates with experience in leadership and management development are desired
- Oral and written communication in action/
- Strong interpersonal aptitude and effective communication capabilities
- Managing a variety of priorities and tasks adeptly is key
- Being able to efficiently wrap up administrative paperwork within a reasonable timeframe

Physical Requirements of Associate Store Manager:
- Being able to extend, flex, steady, elevate, and move a variety of items, which may weigh between 20 to 50 pounds, on a repetitive basis during the shift is essential; occasionally, the weight of products may amount to 50-80 pounds
