Job Summary of Deli Associate:

As a Deli Associate at ACME Markets, no two days are ever the same. This role requires a passion for exceptional customer service and a deep knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, dips, and gourmet food items. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products and guiding customers to make the best selections. You will also utilize tools like meat slicers, food scales, fryers, ovens, and cash registers while providing an outstanding shopping experience that keeps customers returning.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Deli Associate:

• Prepare and serve deli meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, dips, and hot case items with attention to detail.
• Assist customers with product selection, providing recommendations and answering questions.
• Operate tools and equipment like meat and cheese slicers, fryers, ovens, and scales to ensure food is prepared to company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards.
• Ensure the deli area is well-stocked and items are properly displayed.
• Provide a welcoming and positive experience for every customer, contributing to their satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications and Experience of Deli Associate:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for food.
• Ability to work efficiently with various kitchen tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks throughout the day.
• Enjoyment in making customers smile and being part of a team.
• Previous experience in food service or retail is a plus but not required.
