Pharmacy Crew Member

Job Summary of Pharmacy Crew Member:

The objective is to organize, oversee, and manage pharmacy and DMEPOS operations to control expenses, maintain anticipated profit margins, exceed sales goals, ensure a pleasant and courteous experience for patients, and create positive working conditions for staff members. Tasks include preparing, blending, and compounding prescriptions for patients and providing consultations upon request

Responsibilities of Pharmacy Crew Member:

• Manages the department's performance to ensure alignment with the company's expectations
• Scrutinizing the department's scheduling, commercial agenda, appraisals, and service parameters to drive continuous progression and financial robustness
• Supervises the regulation and appraisal of pharmacy performance in order to secure continual growth and financial resilience
• Confirming compliance with pharmacy standards to support the acceptance of the facility, ultimately maintaining facility retention
• Needs to manage the entirety of the sales process, understand and articulate the pharmacy's medication dispensing mechanisms, and offer on-site training to facility employees
• Directs the implementation and supervision of an inventory tracking system
• Maintains merchandising activities in line with the inventory management system's guidelines
• The close monitoring of returns and obsolescence is essential
• Implements or tracks competitive pricing measures
• Modifying prices after analyzing gross margins on a monthly basis
• Controls and adapts departmental purchasing and ordering methods to streamline inventory oversight, turnover, and operational efficiency
• Manage and be well-acquainted with the billing of resident and facility accounts
• Develops and oversees strategies for continuous development and growth, adjusting them as needed on a quarterly basis
• Periodically evaluates department timetables and adjusts them accordingly to meet facility capacity requirements and delivery schedules
• Controls and manages overtime expenditures
• Assesses departmental conformity with pharmacy norms, cultivating a harmonious work culture and upholding professional standards
• Examines all outlays and enforces modifications to optimize cash flow control
• It is crucial to uphold and preserve a safe working environment
• Delivers safety guidance and oversees training initiatives for workplace wellbeing
• Analyzes safety reports and implements revisions to enhance safety outcomes
• Oversees or carries out personnel functions within the department in accordance with company guidelines
• Facilitates the growth and progression of employees within the organization
• Exhibits a standard of personal integrity, appearance, and ethical business practices that sets the tone for the conduct expected from all departmental staff

Qualifications of Pharmacy Crew Member:

• In order to carry out this job effectively, one must be capable of meeting each essential duty adequately.
• It is necessary for pharmacists to keep their state professional licensure up-to-date.
• Convey a sense of authority and expertise.
• Displaying courteous behavior towards both patients and coworkers.
• Adeptness in using software designed for pharmacies, along with any additional software required for the smooth functioning of a pharmacy
