Liquor Store Associate

Job Summary:

As a Liquor Store Associate at Winn-Dixie, you will play an essential role in providing a safe, friendly, and efficient shopping experience for customers. You’ll greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous and prompt manner, offer product suggestions when appropriate, and ensure all department products are fresh and properly stocked. You will also observe customers for compliance with age verification laws, operate department equipment safely, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Hiring Immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Observe customers and check identification for age verification, identifying those who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring to prevent open containers from leaving the store.
• Deny the sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.
• Provide continuous attention to customer needs, greeting, assisting, and thanking them in a friendly and courteous manner, and offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and proper date control, restock and use supply items efficiently to minimize waste, and operate department equipment and tools.
• Operate cashiering equipment accurately, recognizing all forms of tender and providing correct change when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and report any faulty equipment or hazards to management.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• TIPS training required prior to position start date.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and follow instructions proficiently.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• High standard of integrity and reliability.
• Basic computer skills for online training.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
