Produce Clerk

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting daily operations within the produce department by ensuring product freshness, maintaining organized displays, and delivering helpful service to customers. The role contributes to an efficient and well-presented environment through proper stocking, rotation, and quality checks.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming products and transport items from the receiving area to designated sections.
• Organize, rotate, and maintain produce displays to support freshness and visual appeal.
• Inform customers about product options and offer guidance to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Provide samples and promote items to enhance customer engagement.
• Monitor product quality and remove items that no longer meet freshness standards.
• Ensure cleanliness of display areas, preparation spaces, and the back room.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in retail, stocking, or a related environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Capability to lift and move products safely.
