Role and Responsibilities:

As a Part-Time Clerk, you will play an essential role in customer satisfaction and store efficiency. Your responsibilities include:

• Address clients with a pleasant and professional greeting.
• Skillfully manage customer transactions by processing cash, credit, debit card payments, coupons, and loyalty program perks.
• Support customer inquiries by providing product-related information and offering tailored suggestions.
• Stay compliant with company policies regarding restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Keep the cash register area arranged, clean, and hazard-free.
• Reconcile the cash register and adhere to cash-handling procedures to minimize monetary loss.
• Promote Kroger services, programs, and promotions to increase customer awareness and engagement.
• Report pricing discrepancies, safety concerns, and theft incidents in a timely manner.
• Support store teamwork by assisting colleagues and fostering a positive environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain professional under stress.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in cashier, courtesy clerk, or customer service roles.
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
