Distribution Driver

Role and Responsibilities of Distribution Driver:

• Provide secure transportation services for goods from the central warehouse to designated spots.
• Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ascertain their road-readiness.
• Scheme and monitor routes to meet set delivery schedules promptly.
• Inspect paperwork for correctness and cross-check orders to ensure the right quantity of cases is present.
• Utilize ramps, pallet jacks, load bars, and similar equipment to facilitate the movement of products.
• Abide by DOT rules when maneuvering tractor-trailer machinery.
• Ensure professional interactions with customers, vendors, and dispatch personnel.
• Report any vehicle problems, safety concerns, or potential hazards promptly to ensure a swift response.
• Keep the truck orderly and clean to ensure deliveries are accurate and conducted on time.

Required Skills and Experience of Distribution Driver:

• Applicants must hold a Class A CDL, maintain a safe driving record, and possess a clear MVR.
• This position requires a minimum of two years of active participation in driving a 53-foot tractor-trailer.
• The age limit is set at 21 years and older.
• Possess the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical delivery responsibilities.
• Being well-versed in DOT policies and following safe driving protocols are key factors in preventing accidents and ensuring regulatory adherence.
• Openness to working weekends, evenings, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications of Distribution Driver:

• Experience with dock-to-dock transportation of palletized goods.
• Proficiency in scheduling tasks and mapping out effective routes.
• Steadfast commitment to promoting safety at work and delivering exceptional customer service.
