Cash Controller

Job Summary of Cash Controller:

As a Cash Controller, you will deliver a great customer experience by providing fast, accurate, and friendly checkout service. You will ensure proper handling of all transactions and maintain a clean and organized front-end area. You will assist customers with questions, promote charitable campaigns, and follow all company policies and procedures to support a safe, efficient, and pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities of Cash Controller:

• Swiftly and effectively process all customer transactions
• Remember to furnish proper adjustments and evidence of all transactions completed.
• Keep track of prices and be informed about where items are located in the store.
• Meet and assist customers with a courteous and efficient manner.
• Raise awareness about charitable initiatives and promotional bargains for customers to engage with and support.
• Safely and effectively bag customer orders in an organized manner, using reusable or paper/plastic bags based on customer preferences.
• Keep the front-end area well-managed and neat, which includes the registers, conveyor belts, and the floor space in the vicinity.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures while handling currency and operating the register.
• Observe all organizational procedures regarding register activities, reimbursement processes, cancelations, and authorized overrides.
• Notify management promptly of any concerns related to equipment, pricing, or customers.
• Help with restocking spur-of-the-moment purchases and sustaining front-end product exhibits.
• Work in partnership with the front-end team and diverse departments to secure client happiness.
• Work continuously at the register during the designated shift, with the potential for shifts lasting beyond 8 hours per day.
• Stay dedicated to maintaining punctuality and regular attendance.
• Be willing to work beyond your regular schedule when asked.
• Undertake any other assignments as directed.

Qualifications of Cash Controller:

• Must be 18 years or older to operate register equipment independently.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to handle multiple transactions quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow all company time and attendance policies.
