Role and Responsibilities:

As a Stock Associate, you will ensure that grocery sections are well-organized, fully stocked, and clean, creating a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for customers. Key responsibilities include:

• Unload deliveries and transport products to designated storage areas.
• Stock shelves according to the store’s planogram for proper product placement.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain product freshness and reduce waste.
• Label items clearly with prices and ensure all signage is visible.
• Organize shelves for neat, customer-friendly displays.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify managers when items need restocking.
• Conduct routine inventory checks and maintain backstock organization.
• Remove damaged, expired, or recalled products from shelves promptly.
• Assist and engage with customers, providing product information and guidance.
• Maintain clear, safe aisles throughout the store.
• Stay informed about store promotions, seasonal items, and inventory updates.
• Clean and sanitize shelves, displays, and storage areas regularly.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment use.
• Report hazards or equipment concerns to management promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations.
• Communicate effectively with managers regarding inventory and operational needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or stocking preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for inventory management and product labeling.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
