Role and Responsibilities:
The Front End Cashier plays a vital role in providing a smooth checkout process that is quick, accurate, and friendly. This position ensures financial accuracy while delivering dependable service that strengthens customer trust and loyalty. Core responsibilities include:
- Customer Service: Greet, assist, and thank customers courteously; resolve or escalate concerns to management; and share details on promotions or specials when requested.
- Cash Register Operation: Accurately process sales using the scanning system; operate register equipment; accept all payment methods; issue correct change; and help train new cashiers as needed.
- Product Stocking and Maintenance: Organize and stock front-end items; return misplaced or discarded products to the correct department; manage carts; and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Loss Prevention & Compliance: Report theft, shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, or other violations; and adhere to all company safety, security, and service policies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must meet the minimum age and legal requirements established by the company.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
- Authorization to work in the United States or eligibility to obtain authorization.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
