Job Summary of Custodial Associate:

This position supports the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of the office environment. Responsibilities include general cleaning, light HVAC work, small facility repairs, and event support. The individual serves as a team lead for janitorial operations and acts as a backup when staffing issues arise. A focus on safety, organization, and timely task execution is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities and tasks associated with the position:

• Carry out light building maintenance services like painting, hanging objects, organizing cables, and relocating equipment.
• Perform routine HVAC filter replacements for basic maintenance.
• Execute basic cleaning duties encompassing sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Aid in the setup and removal of meeting and event areas.
• Monitor and report on inventory requirements for cleaning supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Comply with standards and regulations related to health and safety protocols.
• Support outdoor maintenance efforts by helping with duties such as clearing snow and tending to landscaping tasks.
• Manage the janitorial team and step in when there are call-offs or insufficient staff members available.
• Offer help with parking lot organization, event setup coordination, and security assistance for various functions.
• Support in cold weather maintenance by salting and clearing pathways for safe navigation.
• Office and cubicle moves are supported with services that include equipment setup and minor maintenance assistance.
• Follow through with various assignments as directed by department leadership in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience of Custodial Associate:

• The basic educational requirement consists of a high school diploma or an equivalent certification.
• Trade school education is the favored type of training for this opportunity.
• A minimum of one to two years of maintenance experience is required for this role, with a preference for candidates with three to four years of experience.
• Shows adeptness in both oral and written communication.
