Role and Responsibilities of DSD Receiving Associate:
As a DSD DSD Receiving Associate, your responsibility involves guaranteeing the correct reception of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) items in accordance with Food Lion guidelines. Your role includes upholding adherence to company regulations, boosting sales by delivering exceptional service, and safeguarding company resources to reduce losses.
- Keep a lively customer-focused environment by offering prompt, amiable, and precise assistance.
- Show kindness and offer useful assistance to fellow colleagues.
- Safeguard company resources by ensuring the precise reception and redistribution of direct store delivery (DSD) items.
- Implement the vendor receiving guidelines put in place by Food Lion.
- Collaborate with suppliers to rectify mistakes, breaches of policies, or surplus stock.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Store Manager to guarantee that vendor promotions are executed promptly.
- Execute the merchandising notes on a weekly basis in a streamlined manner.
- Confirm the correctness of DSD plan-o-grams.
- Complete and submit daily and weekly DSD tickets, as well as beer and wine invoices for record-keeping purposes.
- Verify the accuracy of EDI invoices to ensure there are no remaining outstanding payments.
- Manage all retrieval and compensatory measures effectively.
- Perform activities related to Chief Administrative Officer duties, such as managing and organizing cigarette cartons inventory rotations.
- Utilize corporate resources such as ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System) and CAO procurement platform.
- Adhere to the regulations, protocols, and customary procedures outlined by the organization.
- Adhere to regulations for food safety and workplace safety, ensuring that unsafe conditions are identified and rectified promptly.
- Following Food Lion protocols, report incidents involving both employees and customers to the Manager on Duty.
- Adhere to the rules set by the local, state, and federal authorities to guarantee compliance.
- Adhere to the Food Lion dress code by wearing the designated uniform along with a visible name tag, ensuring a tidy and polished look.
- Successfully accomplish Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid courses.
- Fulfill additional tasks as required.
Required Skills and Experience of DSD Receiving Associate:
- Preference given to individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong abilities in interpersonal relations, organization, communication, and client support.

Physical Requirements of DSD Receiving Associate:
- Skilled in the utilization of computers and other essential communication technologies required for work duties.
- Engage in repeated hand and arm movements.
- Continuously bend and raise loads weighing up to 15 lbs., frequently handle 25 lbs., and occasionally manage 50 lbs.
- Lift or drag weights of up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
- Be on your feet and move often for the majority of the day.
- Engage with substances utilized in the maintenance of cleanliness for items such as packaging materials, fruits, vegetables, botanicals, and domestic sanitizers.
- Regularly manage cash transactions and utilize various devices like cash registers, lottery terminals, scanners, PCs, and calculators.
- Perform regular bending and grabbing at hip height; sometimes reaching above shoulder level or below the waist.
