Grocery Produce Clerk

Job Summary:

This position supports the produce department by maintaining fresh products, organizing displays, and assisting customers with helpful service. The role contributes to a well-managed and inviting environment through proper stocking, rotation, and ongoing quality inspections.

Responsibilities:

• Unload deliveries and transport items from receiving to assigned locations.
• Build, rotate, and maintain displays to uphold freshness and departmental standards.
• Assist customers by sharing product details and offering purchasing guidance.
• Provide samples and highlight seasonal or promotional items.
• Conduct quality assessments and remove produce that does not meet freshness criteria.
• Clean and maintain display tables, prep spaces, and storage areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in retail, produce handling, or similar work is preferred.
• Ability to remain efficient and focused in a busy environment.
• Strong customer service and communication capabilities.
• Comfort with lifting, stocking, and moving products.
• Detail-oriented approach to monitoring product condition.
