Job Summary of Customer Experience Associate:

This role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing friendly service, assisting with the checkout process, and maintaining store standards. This role involves operating scanning equipment, cash registers, and ensuring accurate transactions while adhering to Weis Markets policies and guidelines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Customer Experience Associate:

• Smile and greet customers, answer their questions, and resolve concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner. Follow Weis Markets checkout policies to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register, efficiently processing customer transactions. Ensure items are bagged properly and placed in customers' carts.
• Ensure accurate transactions by charging customers for all items and collecting appropriate funds, including cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons. Maintain cash drawer security to avoid overages or shortages. Follow all store and legal guidelines for the sale of tobacco and alcohol.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers effectively.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation within the department by following cleaning schedules and guidelines, ensuring work areas and equipment meet health and OSHA standards. Dispose of trash properly.
• Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations of the department and store. Continuously improve job performance.
• Utilize all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
• May be called upon to assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience of Customer Experience Associate:

• Education: Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.
