Job Summary of Assistant Grocery Manager:

This role supports daily operations within the grocery department, focusing on customer service, inventory management, merchandising execution, and team leadership. Responsibilities include overseeing store functions in the absence of department or store management, maintaining backroom organization, and driving efficiency in stock replenishment and associate training.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Grocery Manager:

• Support department operations and act in a leadership capacity as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with resolving concerns promptly.
• Monitor inventory levels, execute product orders, and manage stock rotation.
• Guide and train associates, assign tasks, and use training platforms for continuous development.
• Develop merchandising plans, assist with display setup, and coordinate with other departments.
• Maintain department cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with unloading, storing, and organizing deliveries when properly trained.
• Operate store equipment and follow PPE and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience of Assistant Grocery Manager:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or supermarket leadership role.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
