Job Summary of Cleaning Specialist:

Responsibilities for this position involve supporting the office’s cleanliness, upkeep, and overall appearance. Tasks range from general cleaning to light HVAC duties, minor facility repairs, and helping out with events. The person appointed to this role leads the team in janitorial tasks and stands in when staffing issues arise. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Cleaning Specialist:

• Engage in light building maintenance tasks including painting, installing fixtures, managing cables, and moving machinery.
• Fulfill necessary HVAC maintenance requirements by installing new filters.
• Complete regular cleaning tasks involving sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Aid in the setup and removal of meeting and event areas.
• Keep inventory records of cleaning supplies updated and report on restocking needs accordingly.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with health and safety standards.
• Provide aid in maintaining the outdoor environment by handling snow removal and landscaping duties.
• Head the janitorial staff and stand in during callouts or insufficiencies in staffing.
• Aid in the organization of parking facilities, setup for events, and enforcement of security protocols during gatherings.
• Give aid for cold weather conditions by applying salt and removing snow from paths and walkways.
• Office and cubicle relocations are facilitated with services extending to equipment setup and basic repair tasks.
• Carry out supplementary duties as instructed by department leaders within the specified deadline.

Qualifications and Experience of Cleaning Specialist:

• The minimum educational requirement includes a high school diploma or its comparable substitute.
• A trade school education is the preferred route for applicants.
• A maintenance background of one to two years is essential, but candidates with three to four years of experience are preferred.
• Proficiency in conveying messages verbally and through the written word.
