Grocery Associate

Job Summary of Grocery Associate:

The Grocery Associate is responsible for managing the shelves and inventory in the interior sections of a supermarket, dealing with tasks like replenishing products, arranging displays, and assisting customers who are looking for items like snacks, drinks, canned goods, and household supplies.

Responsibilities of Grocery Associate:

• Follow the instructions in the Center Store training manual to cut, label, and store merchandise as directed.
• Welcome and aid patrons in locating items when requested in a polite and amiable fashion.
• Sustain levels of productivity that meet or exceed the established benchmarks of the organization.

Qualification of Grocery Associate:

• Proficiency in communication, customer assistance, and sales techniques. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proven capacity and eagerness to grasp various job tasks and technical specifications. Meeting the specified age criteria is essential.

Physical Requirements of Grocery Associate:

• Regularly lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs., which includes lifting overhead, and occasionally lift items up to 60 lbs. Pushing and pulling tasks can involve weights of up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Achieve the predetermined volume/activity benchmarks.
• Be on your feet either standing or moving continuously throughout the entire duration.
• Regularly handling, picking up, and raising single inventory pieces at heights above the head or below the waist.
• Regularly engaging in bending, kneeling, and squatting movements.
• Have the capability to manage different types of substances commonly found in cleaning supplies, packaging items, and food goods.
• Able to withstand working in exceptionally high or low temperatures for intervals of up to 20 minutes.
• Proficiency in operating computers, calculators, and communication tools is essential for carrying out job responsibilities.

• Ensure that all display cases, storage spaces, and merchandise are maintained at the correct temperature levels.
• Ensure adherence to company safety regulations. Report any necessary repairs or maintenance for equipment promptly
• Fulfill any additional tasks as required.
• The ability to fulfill the physical demands of the job is essential, whether or not adjustments are made to accommodate individual needs.
