Job Summary of Building Cleaner:

The primary focus of this role is to ensure the office environment is clean, well-maintained, and visually pleasing. Responsibilities include standard cleaning tasks, light HVAC maintenance, small repairs within the facility, and assisting with events. The individual takes charge of directing janitorial operations and is prepared to step in during staffing shortages. Key strengths required for this position are an emphasis on safety, maintaining organization, and completing tasks efficiently.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Building Cleaner:

• Execute light maintenance work involving painting, mounting objects, wiring, and shifting machinery.
• Carry out fundamental HVAC care, such as installing new filters.
• Complete general cleaning tasks which involve activities like sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Aid in the assembly and disassembly of meeting and event locations.
• Track the inventory requirements for cleaning supplies and report on restocking necessities.
• Maintain conformity with health and safety protocols and guidelines.
• Offer support for outdoor maintenance needs, including tasks such as snow removal and landscaping upkeep.
• Lead the janitorial staff and assume responsibilities when there are call-offs or inadequate staffing.
• Provide support in managing parking operations, arranging event setups, and overseeing security details at occasions.
• Furnish services for winter weather including salting and clearing walkways to prevent slips and falls.
• Office and cubicle relocations are facilitated with services extending to equipment setup and basic repair tasks.
• Fulfill various tasks as required by department supervisors in a timely fashion.

Qualifications and Experience of Building Cleaner:

• It is mandated that candidates possess a high school diploma or an equal certification.
• Candidates with training from a vocational school are given preference.
• The ideal candidate should have a maintenance background ranging from one to two years, although candidates with three to four years of experience are preferred.
• Proficient in effectively conveying ideas through speech and writing.
