H-E-B is seeking a driven and strategic Supervisor II, Accounting to lead a team of accounting professionals within our dynamic Finance & Accounting Department. As a key leader, you will guide day-to-day operations, develop team members, and ensure accuracy and excellence across complex financial processes that support every stage of our business from "Farm to Fork" and "Greenfield to Sunset."

Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Supervise a team of accounting specialists, assigning and reviewing work, managing priorities, and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.
Foster a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to meet and exceed departmental goals.
Lead change management initiatives and drive team alignment with departmental strategies and the broader company vision.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build tailored solutions that balance speed, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
Promote a culture of exceptional customer service, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Accounting & Analysis:
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting.
Prepare and review complex reconciliations and financial analyses to identify discrepancies, root causes, and solutions.
Apply deep knowledge of GAAP and regulatory practices to maintain compliance and recommend process improvements.
Serve as a key contributor or leader on accounting-related projects, audits, and special initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
1+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred).
In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial regulatory standards.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with financial software tools and ERP systems.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
