Role and Responsibilities of Retail Grocery Associate:

Working in the Grocery Store entails providing high-quality customer service in the Center Store Department, adhering to set standards in the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through exceptional customer service, and minimizing shrinkage by following standard practices diligently:

• Deliver quick, welcoming, and precise customer care to enhance the shopping experience positively.
• Uphold company standards by keeping shelves, shelf markers, and exhibits clean and well-maintained.
• Ensure that only marketable goods are stocked on shelves by organizing them according to price tags.
• It is important to follow the company's guidelines for ordering, accepting deliveries, preparing items, getting them store-ready, and displaying the merchandise.
• Take advantage of company tools like the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) for enhanced efficiency.
• Abide by all the regulations, directives, and traditional procedures set forth by the company.
• Uphold the Food Safety and Workplace Safety procedures to guarantee adherence.
• Notify and remedy any risky circumstances within the workplace and contribute to the process of reporting accidents.
• The expectation is to wear the Food Lion uniform and uphold a polished and professional image.
• Competently accomplish Computer Based Training (CBT) sessions, Training Packets, and training assistance programs.

Required Skills and Experience of Retail Grocery Associate:

• Preferably, candidates should have a high school diploma or its equal.
• Proficiency in interacting with others, organizing tasks, and articulating messages effectively.
• Openness and readiness to acquire knowledge of multiple tasks and technical specifications.
• Competence in resolving challenges and employing technical data efficiently.
• Satisfying the specified age limitations is necessary to carry out job responsibilities.
• Demonstrating the capability to meet the physical job requirements, with or without necessary adaptations.
