Role and Responsibilities of Route Delivery Driver:

• Transport items from the central location to designated points with safety measures in place.
• Prior to and following trips, examine the vehicle thoroughly to verify its readiness and functionality.
• Devise and track paths to successfully adhere to planned delivery schedules.
• Check paperwork for precision and validate that orders have the correct quantity of cases.
• Effectively load and unload items using ramps, pallet jacks, load bars, and relevant equipment.
• Comply with DOT requirements while utilizing tractor-trailer gear.
• Utilize a professional tone when communicating with customers, vendors, and dispatch teams.
• Ensure that any problems with the vehicle or safety concerns are reported promptly to the relevant authorities.
• Ensure deliveries are made promptly and accurately while keeping the truck clean and orderly.

Required Skills and Experience of Route Delivery Driver:

• A safe driving record and an active Class A CDL are prerequisites for the role.
• The position calls for proficiency in operating a 53-foot tractor-trailer for a minimum of two years.
• A person needs to be 21 years of age or older.
• Skilled in lifting items up to 50 pounds and conducting physical delivery activities.
• Awareness of DOT guidelines and adherence to safe driving practices are fundamental for all drivers on the road.
• Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications of Route Delivery Driver:

• Proficiency in transporting palletized freight between different docks.
• Demonstrates strong capabilities in time management and route organization.
• Determination to maintain workplace safety and provide outstanding customer service.
