The Cash Operations Clerk is responsible for delivering a personable, prompt, and precise checkout experience for our members. Primary tasks, key responsibilities, and important duties:

• Delivers exemplary member service by warmly greeting members, processing purchases promptly, and answering inquiries courteously.
• Runs items through the POS system to confirm prices and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Manages transactions involving cash, checks, credit cards, and mobile payment options.
• Details the advantages of membership, renewals, and upgrades, like the BJ's Loyalty and EASY Renewal programs, are discussed and illustrated.
• Completes transactions accurately by issuing receipts and providing correct change to customers.
• Supports customers using self-pay kiosks and self-checkout stations, addressing basic technical concerns.
• Ensures the front-end zone, cashier stations, and member checkout counters are well-maintained.
• Tracks promotions and advertisements to keep members informed about savings and special deals.
• Adherence to club policies and procedures to uphold operational standards and ensure member satisfaction.
• Executes additional duties as instructed, such as providing support in various departments as needed.
• This role mandates the importance of consistent and expected attendance from employees.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Continuous standing and walking on firm floors.
• Periodic stooping, stretching, and moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds (heavier loads supported by others).
