Role and Responsibilities of Grocery Team Member:

As a member of the Grocery Store team, your key duties involve providing excellent customer service in the Center Store Department, maintaining standards as outlined in the standard practice manual, enhancing sales through exceptional customer service, and reducing shrinkage by following standard practices correctly:

• Give timely, friendly, and precise customer assistance to ensure a positive shopping encounter.
• Observe the specified standards by ensuring that shelves, shelf markers, and exhibits are neat and presentable.
• Place merchandises according to their price tags on shelves, ensuring only saleable products are displayed.
• Adhere to the established company procedures for ordering, receiving, preparing, conditioning, and displaying merchandise.
• Optimize workflows by utilizing tools like the Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) within the business.
• Observe all the company policies, guidelines, and standard practices diligently.
• Follow the specified Food Safety and Workplace Safety procedures for compliance.
• Identify and address hazardous conditions while also assisting with accident reporting procedures when necessary.
• Adorn the Food Lion uniform and keep a professional and well-kept look.
• Efficiently complete requirements for Computer Based Training (CBT), educational packets, and training assistance programs.

Required Skills and Experience of Grocery Team Member:

• A high school diploma is the preferred educational background.
• Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, organizational prowess, and communication effectiveness.
• Eagerness and capability to grasp different tasks and technical demands.
• Competency in troubleshooting and effectively leveraging technical data.
• Adherence to the age restrictions for the job functions is required.
• Demonstrating the capacity to satisfy the physical demands of the position, with or without necessary accommodations.
