Role and Responsibilities:
As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations, staff performance, and clinical services. Your responsibilities include:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with state and federal laws, corporate policies, and professional pharmacy standards.
- Manage the financial performance of the pharmacy, including monitoring budgets and minimizing overtime costs.
- Train, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to maintain excellence in service and operational standards.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure patient satisfaction with pharmacy services.
- Manage prescription pricing strategies and promote generic utilization to optimize cost savings.
- Control and monitor pharmacy inventory to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Implement, provide, and participate in corporate-approved clinical services and programs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports while ensuring operational compliance and accountability.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- 2+ years of pharmacy management or supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and clinical service programs.
- Ability to manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a high-volume retail pharmacy.
- Certification in immunizations or MTM (Medication Therapy Management).
- Proficiency in pharmacy systems and reporting tools.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
