Pastry Clerk

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Pastry Clerk, you will provide excellent customer service and assist with daily bakery operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Ensure top-notch customer service by welcoming and assisting customers seeking information about bakery goods
• Support the department manager in meeting sales and profit targets
• Maintain bakery displays by stocking, rotating, and organizing items to ensure freshness and visual appeal
• Follow company standards for packaging and labeling bakery products
• Comply with quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Monitor product freshness and remove items that do not meet company quality standards
• Assist in inventory management, ordering, and product presentation according to guidelines
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment following company regulations

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety standards
• Skilled in teamwork and capable of working independently when required
• Physical ability to handle, store, and transport bakery products and materials

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a bakery, deli, or food service environment
• Knowledge of proper food safety and handling procedures
• Multilingual communication skills
