Grocery Produce Associate

Whole Foods Market has an opening for a Grocery Produce Associate to be a part of our Fresh Produce team. The main duty associated with this position is to aid in establishing a warm and top-quality shopping experience for our customers and supporting the overall prosperity of the store. Your responsibilities will have a direct impact on the maintenance, organization, and presentation of our produce section.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the produce sections.
• Check the front-facing products for expiration dates and promptly remove any expired items to guarantee product freshness.
• Aid the Team Leader in arranging and presenting seasonal and high-volume fruits and vegetables in a well-organized manner.
• Engage in teamwork to effectively serve customers in the produce area with excellence.
• Contribute to the fulfillment of departmental goals and enhance the store's overall achievements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Devotion to delivering high-caliber products and a strong passion for fresh, quality food items.
• Paying close attention to particulars and skillfully preserving a clean and structured work setting.
• Possesses a mindset geared towards teamwork and adept at effective communication.
• Proficiency in executing physical tasks like lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• While past involvement in retail or produce is desired, it is not a prerequisite.

Physical Expectations:

• Proficient in lifting and conveying loads of up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and ambulating for prolonged intervals during the course of the shift.
• Skill in working in fluctuating temperatures, which may include cold storage facilities.
• The schedule requires flexibility, which may include weekends, holidays, and mornings.
