Health and Beauty Product Specialist

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Health and Beauty Product Specialist, you will ensure the department remains fully stocked, visually appealing, and well-organized. Your role involves maintaining product presentation, assisting customers, and supporting overall department operations to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

• Restock, arrange, and organize health and beauty care products in line with company standards and merchandising guidelines.
• Confirm that all merchandise is correctly priced, clearly labeled, and attractively displayed.
• Monitor inventory and communicate stock shortages or replenishment needs to your supervisor.
• Apply the “first in, first out” rotation method to maintain product freshness and quality.
• Welcome customers, assist with locating products, and offer knowledgeable recommendations on health and beauty items.
• Provide accurate information about product features, promotions, and store policies in a professional and friendly manner.
• Suggest suitable products based on customer preferences and needs.
• Assist in creating and maintaining promotional and seasonal displays that highlight featured products.
• Ensure all promotional and sales signage is current, accurate, and easy to read.
• Keep the department tidy, clean, and organized at all times.
• Receive and unload HBC deliveries, conduct stock checks, and assist with scheduled inventory audits.
• Identify expired, damaged, or defective products and remove them from the sales floor promptly.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient day-to-day department operations.
• Support the onboarding and training of new associates, sharing best practices in customer service and merchandising.
• Follow all company safety policies, operational procedures, and quality assurance standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in retail or customer service, preferably within grocery, pharmacy, or health and beauty departments.
• Familiarity with consumer products, particularly in health and beauty care, is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage inventory and maintain a clean work area.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, pricing, and product presentation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and customers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and reaching for long periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old and available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current trends and products in the health and beauty care industry.
• Experience operating point-of-sale systems, scanners, and inventory management tools.
• Understanding of merchandising techniques and effective visual display strategies.
