As the Assistant Market Manager, you are assisting the Produce-Floral Manager with managing department inventory, pricing integrity, training, and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence to drive results while curating an impeccable experience for our guests and team members. Responsibilities of Assistant Market Manager:
- Organizing the procurement of fresh produce items in partnership with the Produce-Floral Manager
- Welcoming visitors with a friendly attitude and offering proactive assistance with precise information
- Extending offers and addressing desires
- Optimizing ordering deadlines is crucial in preventing unnecessary expenses due to excess inventory
- Adhering to rotation standards when stocking goods to ensure the proper reception and replenishment of products
- Assist the Assistant Floral Manager within the floral department on an as-needed basis
- Foster engagement, motivation, coaching, and education among team members through practical training and The Fresh Market's internal training tool to guarantee exceptional guest service with a strong emphasis on safety
Qualifications of Assistant Market Manager:
- 3 plus years of experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field
- 1 plus years of leadership experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be at least 18 years of age
