Role and Responsibilities of Store Sales Associate:

As a Store Sales Associate, you will provide fast, flexible, and friendly service to customers while supporting department managers in maintaining operational and merchandising standards. Your role ensures a positive shopping experience and adherence to food safety guidelines.

• Provide outstanding customer support at the front end, managing scanning, bagging, and maintaining the organization of checkout areas.
• Ensure Food Lion To Go customers receive quick and accurate service.
• Preserve the appropriate levels of products, cleanliness practices, and safe food handling procedures within the Produce, Deli/Bakery/HMS, Perishable, and Grocery departments.
• Safely operate a range of equipment, from pallet jacks to slicers and cash registers.
• Stock shelves according to company standards, lifting up to 70 lbs and pushing/pulling pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs.
• Move any empty bottles and containers from the front end to the back storage area if required.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, food safety regulations, and store guidelines.
• Aid in completing additional duties as directed by supervisors in order to facilitate efficient functioning.

Required Skills and Experience of Store Sales Associate:

• Developing strong communication aptitude and excellent customer service proficiency.
• Proficiency and openness to mastering different tasks and technical skills.
• Adhere to the age criteria for specific job roles.
• Aptitude to fulfill physical criteria, such as lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs, maintaining a standing position throughout work shifts, and dealing with cleaning and packaging materials.
• Utilization of computers and other communication systems is crucial for the successful completion of job duties.
• Exercise precision and focus when performing repetitive hand and arm motions.
