Job Overview:
As a Meat Cutter, you will ensure our guests receive the best and most delicious products, prepared according to their needs and preferences. You’ll support the Meat Lead, provide excellent guest service, and contribute to the growth and success of the store by promoting guest loyalty and delivering the highest quality products. Your primary responsibility will be cutting meat and other products for sale, ensuring customers always receive the freshest and highest quality product possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meat Cutting: Cut meat to the appropriate size for sale, ensuring that it’s fresh and properly packaged for customers.
- Guest Service: Provide outstanding service by answering questions, filling special orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Product Rotation: Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure safety and freshness.
- Meat Case Maintenance: Keep the meat case well-stocked, clean, and organized.
- Customer Safety: Follow all safety protocols for handling meat and other products to ensure the safety of our guests and team members.
- Product Knowledge: Become familiar with the store’s products, including meat varieties, cuts, and preparation methods, to answer questions and make recommendations.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the Meat Lead and fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Ground Meat Preparation: Operate grinders to make fresh ground meat and properly tray the product.
- Foodie Culture: Share excitement and passion for food with customers and team members, cultivating a culture of food appreciation.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers with a smile, offer assistance, and make their experience enjoyable and memorable.
- Sampling: Provide active sampling opportunities when appropriate, helping guests discover new products.
- Product Handling & Equipment Safety: Handle products and equipment in compliance with food safety and safety guidelines.
- Delivery Unloading: Assist with unloading deliveries and ensure proper storage of meat and related products.
- Sanitation & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, including equipment, tables, and floors, in line with food safety standards.
- Special Orders: Accurately record and prepare special orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Cooler & Freezer Maintenance: Help maintain the efficiency of the meat cooler and freezer by unloading deliveries and organizing stock.
- Out-of-Stock Management: Follow proper procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals and maintain product availability.
Qualifications:
- Strong team player with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Previous meat cutting experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
