Role and Responsibilities of Retail Stock Associate:

In the role of a Retail Stock Associate Associate, your main focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service and upholding superior merchandising standards in the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will work towards maximizing sales and minimizing shrinkage through effective inventory management and adherence to established company standards.

• Maintain a high level of customer interest by offering swift, personable, and precise assistance.
• Demonstrate kindness and courtesy towards colleagues.
• Manage Specialty Retail Stock Associate inventory levels according to standard practice, overseeing backroom stock and the condition of items on shelves.
• Maintain the assigned shelf positions in accordance with the plan-o-grams.
• Promptly stock new items and tags within a week of receipt, following plan-o-grams for accurate placement.
• Execute tasks related to the ordering, receipt, preparation, arrangement, and exhibition of goods following company guidelines.
• Utilize in-house tools such as the average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering application (CAO) for improved efficiency.
• Comply with the guidelines for food safety and workplace safety; rectify any unsafe conditions.
• Consistently follow the reporting protocols specified by Food Lion for any incidents concerning associates or customers.
• Dress appropriately for work by wearing the Food Lion uniform as outlined in the dress code standards.
• Satisfy the requirement for undertaking computer-related and supplementary training courses.
• Take on any other assigned tasks.

Required Skills and Experience of Retail Stock Associate:

• An individual who has graduated from high school or achieved an equivalent level of education is preferred.
• Remarkable skills in interpersonal communication, organization, customer service, and effective interactions.
• Proficiency and openness to learning different tasks and technical job prerequisites.
• Enhancing the utilization of technical data for problem-solving purposes.
• Meeting the age criteria is a fundamental requirement for the position.
• Able to handle physical demands with or without necessary accommodations.
• Competent in using computers and communication systems vital for job duties.
