Primary functions, crucial tasks, and essential responsibilities:

• Offers exceptional assistance to members by greeting them warmly, handling purchases efficiently, and responding courteously to inquiries.
• Runs items through the POS system to confirm prices and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Accepts a diverse range of payment methods such as cash, checks, credit cards, and mobile payments.
• Educates about the benefits of membership, renewals, and upgrades, such as the BJ's Loyalty and EASY Renewal programs.
• Confirms the correctness of transactions through the issuance of receipts and accurate handling of change.
• Provides guidance to individuals utilizing self-service payment terminals, helping with basic tech challenges.
• Responsible for keeping the front-end zone, registers, and customer payment counters clean and neat.
• Keeps abreast of promotions and advertisements to notify members of discounts and exclusive deals.
• Compliance with club regulations and protocols to uphold operational efficiency and enhance member contentment.
• Undertakes supplementary duties as allocated, which can include providing assistance in alternative areas when necessary.
• The role necessitates adhering to a consistent and reliable attendance schedule.

Environmental Job Conditions:

• Repeatedly being upright and mobile on hard surfaces.
• Sporadic stooping, extending, and hoisting items up to 30 pounds (heavier objects with assistance).
• Essentially an indoor environment with limited contact to fluctuations in temperature or excessive noise.
