Job Summary of Meat Market Clerk:

The Meat Department plays a vital role in managing pricing, stocking, and the presentation of merchandise to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities of Meat Market Clerk:

• Aid in the organization and separation of the newly delivered merchandise.
• Relocate inventory to storage zones within the facility.
• Break open cartons and, if required, price items accurately.
• Maintain the appropriate inventory levels on store shelves in accordance with tag allocations.
• Help in organizing store displays and stocking meat bunker supplies.
• Keep perishable products rotated and dispose of any out-of-code items as necessary.
• Oversee the amount of faulty items and handle them following the company's regulations.
• Help in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in the meat processing room during working hours.
• Arrange the assigned area properly prior to leaving at the conclusion of your work shift.
• Respect the policies and procedures that have been designated for each specific department.
• Offer a friendly hello to customers upon their arrival and remain alert to their activities.
• Uphold the neatness standards set by the company's dress code policy.
• Respect and follow all the company policies as delineated in the Employee Handbook.
• The initiative aims to uphold price levels and shield products from potential threats in the market.
• Ensuring cleanliness in retail and storage regions.

Qualifications of Meat Market Clerk:

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.
• Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
