Job Summary of Online Operations Associate:

The central duties of a Online Operations Associate include ensuring exceptional customer service while managing orders placed on the ShopRite website, from selecting products to communicating with customers, bagging orders, packing them into totes, storing them properly, invoicing the orders, delivering them to customers' vehicles, and accepting payments. The role of the Online Operations Associate is to accurately choose, package, and prepare customer online orders for pickup or delivery. This position emphasizes the importance of fulfilling orders promptly, maintaining quality standards, and offering customers a positive shopping experience

Qualifications of Online Operations Associate:

• Mastery of the English language involves the capability to proficiently read, write, speak, understand, and analyze its components.
• Aptitude for completing foundational math tasks.
• Requirement to stand or walk for the entirety of the scheduled work period. Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs. is necessary.
• Proficiency in handling a range of fresh, dried, or processed products, spices, and powders without encountering any negative allergic effects
• Proficiency in enduring dust and chemical agents when performing customary cleaning duties.
• Capacity to adapt to different temperature ranges. Ability to engage with customers in a personable and helpful manner.
• Aptitude for engaging in collaborative efforts.
• Skill in managing all allocated work hours and abiding by all guidelines pertaining to punctuality and attendance.

Responsibilities of Online Operations Associate:

• Thoroughly recognize products from a range of departments within the store. Display proficiency in selecting excellent perishable goods
• Offer substitute products in situations where the customer's selection is unavailable.
• This requires excellent communication skills via phone & in person. Accurately select and organize Customer's items efficiently.
• Safely and effectively managing the packaging of customer orders.
• Arrange the workspace to facilitate the selection process and combine the completed totes for customer collection or delivery. Pay special attention to storing temperature-controlled totes in the correct place, such as the cooler.
• When exporting goods, companies need to be prepared to handle various payment types, such as cash, credit, checks, EBT, WIC benefits, rain checks, coupons, vouchers, and gift cards, among others.
• Precisely handle payment transactions and provide accurate change. Proficient in making change with all American currency denominations.
• Be knowledgeable about using the cash register and following all cash management protocols, if applicable.
• Organize documents to wrap up a customer's transaction and file correctly. Prepare workspace for the selection process.
• The role of an Online Shopping Clerk demands a readiness and ability to engage in tasks like selecting, consolidating, and exporting, alongside the general responsibilities laid out for the department.
• Ensure all clients are greeted and served promptly with graciousness and assistance.
• Be versed in the different types of products carried in the store. Be informed about the selecting device and software.
• Handle each item in a customer's order effectively to ensure optimal quality. Lift, move, push, and rotate items weighing 25 lbs, occasionally reaching 50 lbs in weight.
• Validate pricing information and be knowledgeable about the positioning of products in the store. Advocate for ongoing charitable initiatives to attract customers and boost sales.
• Maintain a standing position at the work station for the duration of the scheduled shift, which might exceed 8 hours per day. Grasp and conform to Company regulations concerning shrinkage in Online Shopping Department operations.
• Preserve a clean, orderly, and secure workspace at all times.
• Enforce proper sanitation practices by disinfecting and cleaning work areas, utensils, and tools following Department of Sanitation and QA criteria. Keep the floor uncluttered and spill-free.
• Adhere to the Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations that govern the Online Shopping activities.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company's rules, policies, safety requirements, and security standards, as well as in compliance with the health and civil code regulations enforced at the Local, State, and Federal levels.
• Abide by the company's policy on attire and grooming, which includes wearing the stipulated uniform, prominently showing the name badge, and using a hat or hair restraint as specified.
• Abide by the QA hand washing criteria and don disposable gloves when coming into contact with food. Observe the guidelines stipulated in the Company's HAZCOM program and ensure compliance with the manufacturer's instructions on chemical labels for the safe and effective utilization of all products.
• Observe departmental regulations for equipment utilization and care, reporting any equipment irregularities promptly. Attend and complete all appropriate department training modules. Carry out all tasks in line with ShopRite's Service Priorities, including Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency.
• Establish a habit of being punctual and maintaining consistent attendance at work. Be ready to work overtime when requested and work together amicably with others.
• Employees must be 18 years of age or older to control compressors, aerial lifts, motor-powered pallet handlers, and slicing machinery. Execute any other assigned tasks.
