Role and Responsibilities of Backroom Receiver:
As a DSD Backroom Receiver, you will ensure the proper receiving of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) products by following Food Lion policies and procedures. You will also help maintain compliance with company standards, enhance sales through excellent service, and protect company assets while minimizing shrink.
Preserve a dynamic customer-focused culture through fast, amiable, and accurate support.

Protect company resources by effectively managing the receipt and return process for DSD items.
Abide by the vendor receiving standards implemented by Food Lion.
Establish communication with vendors to handle inaccuracies, violations of policies, or excessive stock.
Collaborate closely with the Assistant Store Manager to guarantee the timely rollout of vendor promotions.
Streamline the weekly merchandising notes implementation for increased effectiveness.
Verify the precision of DSD plan-o-grams.
Handle the daily and weekly accounting of DSD tickets, beer and wine invoices.
Ensure all EDI invoices are balanced and accounted for without any pending amounts.
Execute proper protocols for the recovery and resolution of damages.
Fulfill duties associated with the Chief Administrative Officer position, such as managing and rotating cigarette carton inventory.
Leverage organizational resources such as ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System) and CAO acquisition system.
Uphold compliance with the company's standards, regulations, and established conventions.
Emphasize the importance of adhering to guidelines for food safety and workplace safety, addressing any unsafe conditions that arise.
Ensure that all accidents involving associates and customers are reported to the Manager on Duty in accordance with Food Lion guidelines.
Stay in line with the local, state, and federal regulations to maintain compliance.
Project a polished and neat image by wearing the Food Lion uniform and visibly showcasing your name badge.
Master the content of Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packets, and Training Aid courses.
Comply with any additional duties provided.
Required Skills and Experience of Backroom Receiver:
High school graduates or those with a comparable level of education are preferred.
Shows expertise in interpersonal communication, organization, customer service, and communication.
Skill and interest in acquiring multiple tasks and fulfilling technical job needs.
Employing technical data to improve problem-solving aptitude.
Ensuring that the age criteria are met is fundamental for successfully executing the job functions.
Skill to satisfy the physical requirements of the role, whether modifications are required or not.
Physical Requirements of Backroom Receiver:
Skillful in the operation of computers and other communication systems crucial for job responsibilities.
Conduct repetitive movements with the hands and arms.
Continuous bending and lifting of objects weighing up to 15 lbs., frequent handling of 25 lbs., and occasional management of 50 lbs. weights.
Pushing or pulling loads weighing up to 75 lbs. may be necessary at times.
Keep standing and walk short distances regularly.
Oversee substances associated with the cleaning process of packaging materials, produce, plants, and household cleaning solutions.
Routinely manage cash and operate equipment such as registers, lottery machines, scanners, computers, and calculators.
Perform frequent reaching and grasping at waist level; occasionally reach above shoulder/below waist.
Reach the productivity targets defined for the job.
Operate in exceptionally hot or cold temperatures for a limit of 20 minutes when called upon.
Sustain enough visual clarity to scrutinize IDs, checks, invoices, and other types of written materials accurately.
