Job Summary of Utility Worker:

The main responsibility of this position involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store to support a safe and inviting shopping environment. Duties include cleaning floors, disposing of trash, and regular maintenance of areas such as break rooms and back of house spaces. Having a strong sense of responsibility and paying attention to details are essential in upholding sanitation standards and the overall appearance of the store.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Utility Worker:

• Perform sweeping, mopping, and waxing tasks to uphold floor cleanliness and maintenance.
• Take away and dispose of rubbish from designated zones within the retail establishment.
• Implement a consistent sanitization routine for restrooms, breakrooms, and common workstations to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Make sure that the back rooms, storage areas, and entrances are consistently kept clean.
• Act swiftly and safely to address spills and other urgent clean-up requirements.
• Support in the assembly or disassembly of store fixtures and equipment as needed.
• Support cross-departmental needs by fulfilling maintenance and housekeeping tasks.

Qualifications and Experience of Utility Worker:

• While previous experience in janitorial or maintenance is preferred, it is not a strict requirement.
• Proficient in the proper and safe operation of cleaning equipment and tools.
• Unwavering focus on detail-oriented tasks and a dedicated commitment to cleanliness in the store.
• Exhibiting the aptitude to work independently and adhere to the guidelines specified by the store.
• Ability to commit to a schedule that encompasses evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• - The preference is for individuals with a high school diploma or its similar alternative.
