Responsibilities of Fresh Produce Clerk:

• Provides prompt, adept, and amicable customer service by demonstrating empathy, attentiveness, and patience in every customer engagement and considering customers as the primary focus in the store.
• Greets and acknowledges customers in a friendly manner, whether situated in the designated department or other sections of the store.
• Dedicates themselves to learning the names of customers and prioritizes addressing individuals by their names.
• Guides customers to products, retrieves items that are out of reach, assists with lifting heavy objects, communicates suggestions or requests, and carries out other tasks to enhance the shopping journey.
• Responds promptly to telephone calls and provides a cheerful and useful service to callers seeking help.
• Facilitates teamwork among colleagues to ensure customers are satisfied and the work environment remains pleasant.
• Practices correct sanitation protocols and ensures the cleanliness of the work area.
• Ensures that there is a consistent availability of products by following or creating a production plan.
• Forecasts daily product demands, receives incoming items, stores products, and may inspect billing statements.
• Ensures the freshness of products by restocking and rotating as needed.
• Cleans up garbage promptly.
• Readies, finalizes, and refills merchandise as required.
• Upholds a stringent commitment to hygiene, dress standards, and organizational policies.
• Shows up for work as per the agreed-upon schedule.
• Procures items and supplies according to demand.
• Determines the cost of items for customers as needed.
• Accomplishes delivery tasks as mandated.
• Provides aid in various store departments when the need arises.

Qualifications of Fresh Produce Clerk:

• Level of education that is lower than high school or equivalent experience.
• Approximately six months or fewer of comparable or relevant work exposure.
• Aptitude for carrying out specific and uncomplicated written or verbal orders.
• Ability to deal with a few concrete variables.
• Elementary numerical skills encompassing straightforward addition and subtraction.
• Skill in duplicating digits, enumerating items, and logging data accurately.
• Proficiency in adhering to spoken or illustrated directions, recording identifying details, and asking for materials verbally or through written communication.

Physical Requirements of Fresh Produce Clerk:

• Must be able to perform medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.
• Visual requirements include close and distant vision, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
